About the Instructors
Chris Bell has danced salsa for 6 years before coming back to his hometown of Columbus to share his knowledge and love of salsa. Chris is a bit of a salsa historian and loves to explain the origins of salsa and tie them back to their African and Caribbean roots. Cap City Salsa was founded in early 2018 to teach the beauty of salsa on2 to the Columbus community and ignite a passion for afro-latin rhythms.
Favorite Artists: Sonora Ponceña, Louie Colon, Hector Rivera
A dancer since childhood, Stacy has taught and performed many styles of dance including jazz, tap, musical theatre, and salsa. She began dancing salsa in Toronto at age 19 and fell in love with New York style on2 a few years later. Stacy especially enjoys vintage salsa by artists such as El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Sonora Ponceña, and Fania All-Stars, and she is inspired by the elegant styling of dancers including Karel Flores, Tamara Livolsi, and Jorjet Alcocer.
