Flier for Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop (Jan 2010)

Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop (Jan 2010)

Our last Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop was in the middle of October and we had no idea the level of response and enthusiasm would be as incredible as it was. It has taken some time to get the next ACDW together so that we could get the right mix in order to be even better than the last. This time we are bringing in Shayne Carter from Indianapolis, owner of the Organic Rhythms Dance Studio. Shayne has taught at the Cincinnati Salsa Congress as well as the most recent Columbus Salsa Fest. She is currently a member of the Afro-Cuban dance troupe “Sancocho”

As with all of the Afro-Cuban Dance Workshops, you can expect the highest quality live drumming accompaniment to be found in Central Ohio. We are also going to be in a much larger studio space with an entire wall of mirrors and nice moderate temperature. The material that Shayne will be covering will include Palo, Orisha dances, Rumba, and Bomba.
